Dear Members of the Korean-Japanese Economic & Management Association,

It is a great honor to serve as the 24th President of the Korean-Japanese Economic & Management Association. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all members for entrusting me with this important responsibility, and to the former presidents and executive members who have led the Association with dedication and vision.

With a proud history of over 40 years, the Association has served as a key platform for academic exchange and intellectual engagement. I will do my utmost to carry on this tradition and to foster a dynamic and inclusive scholarly community.

Although Korea and Japan have experienced various historical challenges, recent improvements in bilateral relations have brought about more active exchanges and mutual visits. Our Association has maintained an ongoing and collaborative relationship with the Japan Association for East-Asian Business and Economic Studies, and I anticipate that this partnership will continue to grow, further invigorating academic exchanges and research on Korea–Japan relations.

I also hope to create a collegial and engaging environment where members can connect meaningfully and junior scholars are encouraged to participate and thrive.

Above all, the continued success of the Association depends on the active interest and participation of its members. Together with the Editorial Board, the Secretariat, and our dedicated colleagues, I will strive to fulfill the mission of the Association to the best of my ability. I kindly ask for your ongoing support and involvement.

Let us continue to work together in advancing scholarly exchange and cooperation between Korea and Japan.

Sincerely,

Hyungoh Lee

President, Korean-Japanese Economic & Management Association
